To bypass the effects on statistics of Download Managers segmenting a file use a redirect page and rely on the number of times the redirect page is viewed. For instance to measure the number of times myapp.zip has been downloaded create a file called myapp.asp that starts the download of the file myapp.zip when the image or link to start the download is clicked. One way to handle this redirect is to use a HTML tag (<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=myapp.zip">) in the redirect page. |
